'To sip tea is a divine moment but what will it be to eat tea ??' This was the thought running in my mind when I got invite for High Tea at Miele Centre, Delhi in association with Anamika Singh, a dedicated tea sommelier (and wonderful human being), Chef Saby (one of the most talented chefs in India) and Foodie Avininder Singh at Miele Centre, Delhi.
Chef Saby along with Anamika served tea infused recipes paired along with Anandini Himalaya Tea. It turned to be an evening with lots of laughter, fun chats and ofcourse delicious food.
I love Anandini Tea blends and have them on a daily basis; they are now inseparable part of my life. So, it was a delight to have food infused with the teas. I simply fell in love the Tookies - cookies infused with tea, they had the mild flavor of tea & dusted with sugar, served warm; totally addictive! This was the star recipe of the evening in my opinion.
The other food served at the event was nice too, in fact, each and every recipe was beautifully thought out and wonderfully balanced the flavors of the infused tea.
The tea poached apples moist cake infused with green tea, chamomile & rose-hip was such a delight. Light, moist and mildly flavored. Loved this one too!! And each dish was served with endless cups of the heavenly blends of Anandini Himalaya Tea.
Just as I thought the list of dishes was at coming to an end, Anamika & Chef Saby announced that hot chocolate infused with tea was on offer and we had to come and get. It was such divinely yummy, it is at these times I truly believe chocolate is better than..you know what!!
To finish off the evening, we were served chocolate mousse infused with Autumn tea, lemon balm & rose petals. Now this blend is one of my favorites and I absolutely loved the combination.
I came back from Miele High Tea with the understanding that tea is not only beautiful to sip, but wonderful to eat, in the hands of experts.
